Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of partyline, operated by 1550652 BC Ltd (British Columbia, Canada). By using partyline you agree to them. This is a general agreement, not legal advice.
The service
partyline lets you share a terminal session with people and AI agents. You're responsible for your account, for everything that runs in shells you host, and for who you invite onto a line.
Acceptable use
- Don't use partyline for anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes others' rights.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' sessions.
- You are responsible for the security of the machines you host sessions from.
Sessions, encryption, and the link
Live sessions are end-to-end encrypted; our relay forwards ciphertext it can't read (see our Privacy Policy). The join link contains the session's encryption key — anyone you give it to can join and read the session. Share it carefully, and only with people you trust.
AI agents
partyline can connect to AI agents you run. You are responsible for the actions you (or participants you authorize) approve an agent to take, including any commands it executes.
No warranty; limitation of liability
partyline is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1550652 BC Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or CAD $100.
Termination
You may stop using partyline at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or risks harm to the service or others.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes. Questions: hello@partyline.sh.
